Wet weather this week kept trail work to a minimum but we should dry out for the weekend. The grass is really starting to grow on the ski trails and the underbrush is out in full force. Few more mosquitoes coming out and a bit more noticeable. No deer flies making it nice to be in the woods still.
A great first week of June. Temps running a bit below normal, sunny and light winds. About as good as it gets to be in the woods. Work this week on the new snowshoe trail, mountain bike singletrack and little touch up here and there on the ski trails and Jim has been mowing the ski trails. Ladyslippers blooming big time this week and also a nice variety of wildflowers in the woods. Mosquitoes coming out in recent days but too bad and cold nights keeping them less active.

A beautiful weekend in the woods. The woods have really filled out this week with the leaves coming out on the trees and the underbrush growing strong. We have been mowing on some of the ski trails and Jim has been working on a new snowshoe trail for next winter.
