Trail Report

Summer like weather in place after a much welcomed rain shower Friday evening with around 3/4th inch of rain. The woods have exploded with flora with leaves mostly full circle and a good variety of wildflowers on the forest floors. Great seeing all the riders out on the mountain bike trail this Holiday weekend. Most trail work the spring is focused on tuning and clearing the trail and also continue cleaning up deadfall from last summer’s storm, using the blocks to split for firewood.

The ponds and sloughs active with waterfowl and loons have been numerous on Little Sugarbush. Ice went off on April 19th.

The mountain bike trails are open for riding.

Thank you to everyone that comes to Maplelag and supports the trails with season pass purchasesA MN State trail pass is not required to use the trails at Maplelag. The Maplelag trails are self funded by operations with no grants or state funding.
