Trail Report

A nice day of skiing on the trails. After a early morning low of -18, temp warmed up near 0 with no wind and a sun cloud mix making for a great day of skiing. Early morning grooming on Twin Lakes, Sukkerbusk, JibFly, Rootin Tootin, Sap Run, Mother Hen and skate deck on Skaters Waltz.

Overall, 60 of 64km of the trail system has been groomed 1-4 times the past week. Around 15km groomed skate only and rest of the trails tracked for classic.  Only trail not groomed is Bullhead but skiable throughout. The marsh crossings are rough and need a bit more snow to take grooming equipment through safely. (Check the board in the lobby for the latest tracking and updates).  Yes, a few rough spots here and there and maybe a small icylike section but overall skiing is the best it has been all year.  Remember, at Maplelag there is no windchill unless you are standing on the edge of Little Sugarbush ready to take the plunge!
