Ski Trail Report

35km of trail open and groomed. Fair to very good early season conditions. Sunshine and moderating temps made for a nice day of skiing on Sunday with a steady flow of skiers all day.

Poki Loki up to Sukkerbusk groomed this morning with tracks set (after that point take Sukkerbusk left or right to return to Maplelag). Loon Return and Mother Hen also groomed with tracks set. Skaters Waltz and big hill groomed Saturday evening.

30km of trail groomed Saturday morning working in the new snow from Friday evening, 15km skate only and 13km classic only. The new snow improving the skiing but still early season conditions, watch for thin areas etc. Hard base underneath the fresh snow taking off the hardness and should be a nice weekend of skiing. Just Ski!

Recommended trails to ski with the best coverage is on Sukkerbusk and JibFly for classic and Skaters Waltz for skating. We worked on Skaters Waltz this week building up the thin areas. Tracks set on Sap Run, Poki Loki and beyond up to Sukkerbusk and Rootin Tootin. North Loup and the extension loops of SkatersWaltz also groomed for skating and cutover trails Single Green and Kristin’s Kutoff.
