All 25 miles of mountain bike trails are open. A good day of riding in place. Watch for possible rain later in day. It’s been a windy week and the trail has really dried out but nice early season riding conditions. Tacky/hard dry riding surface conditions. Wind bringing down a few sticks etc. but we have been clearing on the singletrack as much as we can. This week clearing on Moorhead and North Star singletrack and Wednesday clearing on Bullhead Bootleg loop with the leaf blowers.
Clearing/leaf blowing on trail last week with North Loup Gnar, Bjorps, Bente’s, Pirates Pass and all of Twin Lakes singletrack cleared. Overall the trails are rolling great for early season. We also are clearing any deadfall but be aware trees/organic forest matter can fall at anytime and assume full responsibility when riding.
Good seeing all the riders out this spring which helps ride in the trail. Nice job to riders completing the LagChilada challenge this past weekend!
Recommended trails are all the inner trails and the Twin Lakes race loop to the west. Sukkerwest and Bullhead Bootleg rolling good as well. For first time riders to Maplelag, a good beginner loop is the Citizen loop and Sukkerwest at the end of the driveway. A intermediate to advance loop is the Sport Comp Expert loop. The entire 25 LagChilada loop is open and all the LagChilada signs are out. Click here for more about the challenge!
