Trail Report

Big time rain last night as almost 2″ of rain fell hard and fast during the early morning hours. The trails are open this Fall for hiking, biking and walking. They are closed to horses and motorized equipment.  We have taken down the flagging for the bike course but will leave the signs out until the snow flies. We will be working on the ski trails, preparing them for winter and also hope to work on the new singletrack by Twin Lakes.  Thanks to everyone who came and supported the Laddies Loppet mountain bike weekend.

Great weather and record number of participants over the weekend highlighted the 2009 Laddies Loppet stage race weekend. Participants competed in a time trial and exciting short track races on Saturday that ran near the cabins and main lodge. Sunday featured cross country racing on the Maplelag cross country ski trails and famous singletrack.

Skinnyski.com was at Maplelag over the weekend catching the short track race on Saturday and cross country and kids races on Sunday. Click on the links below to view the great photos and links to results.

Trail Report

A great weekend so far of racing. Dry and fast conditions.  Should be a great day on Sunday!

The course is open daily for riding and is marked and taped for the bike race weekend.  There is no charge to use the trails. The trail starts behind the Great Northern building and follow the maintained trail and white signs with black arrows. The course will be closed Saturday morning during the time trial and open again in the afternoon for pre-riding. Please be aware of the short track racing on Saturday if you select to pre-ride instead of race and check with race officials to avoid race traffic . Trail Report

A very nice start to the week after a great weekend on the trails for riding and working on the course. Pleasant temps and dry conditions. The course is taking shape nicely and riding has been very nice. Handful of folks out on the course over the weekend, practicing for the bike race.

The course is open daily for riding and is marked and taped for the bike race weekend.  There is no charge to use the trails. The trail starts behind the Great Northern building and follow the maintained trail and white signs with black arrows. Please park in the first parking lot by the first freight house.  . The new mountain bike singletrack trail is open for riding. Head to Twin Lakes and look for the mountain bike trail sign. Ride the trail to the end and ride back!! We encourage riders to check out the trail and help us pack it down. The plan is to make a 4-5 mile loop but the trail is open for out and back riding for now. This new singletrack is not part of the race course but we plan on having a point to point event in the future using this new singletrack as well as other trails in the area.
