Trail Report

Warmest day of the winter so far with temp reaching the mid 40’s. Despite the warm weather and intense sun, the trails held up well and lots of good reports from the trail and skiers today. Fast skiing early and pretty much ideal from 10am to noon and soft and slushylike mid afternoon….. but no standing water…..than glazing over again late afternoon and “speeding” up. We will groom a few trails tonight. There still is a good base of snow and should hang on provided it keeps freezing down at night. We plan on grooming the Lotvola Cup course early Saturday evening.

Trail Report

Beautiful Springlike skiing today. Trails fast this morning than softening up with sun and warmer temps. Fresh groomed last night included Rootin Tootin, Roy’s Run and Island Lake. Grooming this morning on Mother Hen and JibFly. Trails groomed this morning getting soft and slow around noon but other trails holding firm and getting soft later.  Few trails have icy sections and caution must be used on downhills.  However, the snow is holding out nicely and good skiing depending on timing and right waxing/ski selection. We will be grooming again this evening on North Loup, Wavy Gravy, Mother North Star and the skating trails and touching up inner trails as well.
