Trail Report

A few flakes of snow coming down Monday morning. Snow fell most of the day on Sunday accumulating to less than an inch of fluffy snow. We did ski on Suicide Hill over the weekend which has the best coverage on the trail system, on a paper thin base, but need more snow before we can open the trails. The current coverage is very light, dry snow. Ice skating has been great on the lake with a nice surface. There is good coverage on the lake for possible lake skiing but the snow is very fluffy and hard to get “traction”. Once we build a bit more ice, we will try packing the snow on the lake in effort to have skiing on the weekend. We will make a decision on the ski camp weekend on Tuesday evening.

Trail Report

A few inches of dry and fluffy snow yesterday and during the night. Looking through the woods it looks very much like winter, especially with temps in the lower teens. The snow is very dry with very little moisture content and didn’t pack out to much of anything when we tried packing. Not enough for skiing as 3-5″ additional snow is needed.  This is a good start and beautiful in the woods. More flurries forecasted today and snow possible again on Sunday and Tuesday.
