Another inch or two the past 24 hours leaving 5-7″ of total accumulation from the storm this week. The last few inches light and fluffy but all good when it is white stuff coming down!! We have been packing on the entire trail system this week except for Roy’s Run and Bullhead lake trails. We will set tracks on Thursday on select trails for classic skiing. The trails are open for skiing and in very good condition for early season. Almost looks like mid winter! Great start to the season.
Looks like around 5″ of snow coming down after yesterday’s and last nights storm. Another inch possible today with the wind blowing the fresh snow around. A nice snow and we will be packing the trails the next few days. This new snow should greatly improve the conditions and allow us to set a few tracks later in the week. The compacted base on trail is 2-4″ and snow depth in woods 4-8″. A great start to the season!
Packing Monday's fresh snow on Skaters Waltz. Mother North StarTrees flocked nicely with fresh snow near the start of the trails.
Jack and Jens taking a break on Sap Run trail Sunday afternoon.
A beautiful Springlike day capping off a great Thanksgiving week and weekend on the trails. Weekend report with photos on the trail report page. Monday afternoon update: 2″ fresh snow as of 4:30pm
Bruce and Bjorn Adelsman in the square field, November 27th.
Steve Wenzel and Craig Lemieux out on Sukkerbusk Saturday morning, November 27th
A Springlike day on the trails capping off a great Holiday week/end of skiing. Temp climbing to the mid 30’s with sunshine in the afternoon. The warm temps settled the snow some but the coverage remains good and we are enjoying some of the best November conditions in years. Best skiing has been reported on Skaters Waltz for skating and Twin Lakes and Sukkerbusk for classic. Tracks are set on Mother Hen, Sap Run, JibFly, Sukkerbusk, Mother North Star and Twin lakes. The tracks go down to the ground in spots with dirty/grassy sections but with “rock” skis, skiing is fine. Skating has been very good on Skaters Waltz and Rootin Tootin, and Skaters Extension also groomed for skating. All the other trails not tracked or combed for skating are packed and waiting for more snow. The trails are open at no charge. The base is 1-3″ and snow depth in the woods is around 6-7″. We will be working on the trails all this week.
