Trail Report

The big storm hitting Minnesota and Wisconsin is staying south of us. Did have temps in the 20’s last night which set up more ice on the ponds and slough and ice on the edge of the smaller lakes. The freezing temps are ideal to set up the ground before the snow flies for real.  The trails are looking great other than a few more branches to clear after the storm  that dropped around 4″ of snow the end of October.  Deer hunting continues until this weekend and the trails are closed during this time. Hopefully snow in a few weeks and we can open up for some early season skiing!!

Trails are also closed for mountain biking unless they remain snow free after deer hunting and will open again until the snow comes including  the new singletrack at Twin lakes. The leaves remain clear for the most part on the singletrack and go into the next season in great shape.

Think Snow!!

Trail Report

A return of more “average” weather after a cold front moved through during the night. Around a half inch of rain yesterday afternoon and evening. The precip this November equals the moisture we received the past four Novembers combined!!  A good sign for snow chances later this month.  The trails are looking great other than a few more branches to clear after the storm  that dropped around 4″ of snow the end of October.  Deer hunting continues until this weekend and the trails are closed during this time. Trail Report

A relatively dry week. Just a quick afternoon shower on Tuesday. Good hard freeze Friday morning with temps in the lower 20’s. We have been cutting trees from last weeks storm that dropped around 4″ of snow and clearing off branches and sticks. The trails are looking great other than a few more branches to clears and are ready for the “real” snow. The low areas on the inner and northern trails are very wet and have froze with the colder temps.  Deer hunting begins this weekend and the trails are closed during this time. Hopefully snow in a few weeks and we can open up for some early season skiing!!

Mountain biking has been good this week including riding on  the new singletrack at Twin lakes. The leaves remain clear for the most part on the singletrack and go into the next season in great shape.  Trails are also closed for mountain biking unless they remain snow free after deer hunting and will open again until the snow comes.

Think Snow!!
