Much welcomed rain shower this morning after a period of dry weather. Fall is here and signs of it are appearing more and more each day. The leaves should really begin to transform this week and we are expecting a spectacular fall color season thanks to the above average moisture from last winter continuing with weekly rain all throughout the summer and this early fall.
Couldn’t of asked for better weather for the annual Laddies Loppet mountain bike race over Labor Day weekend. Thanks everyone that came to the event!
It has been busy summer on the ski and mountain bike trails mowing/brushing and constantly clearing deadfall and cutting/splitting firewood. We will continue working on the trails up until the snow flies! A few storms and wind events this summer bringing down the usual amount of trees, no structural damage to any buildings. Overall, the summer has been slightly above precipitation with average temperatures at Maplelag making for great conditions for trail work.

Signs of early fall with a few basswood leaves falling to the deck and also forest matter such as acorns to pay attention to. Otherwise some of the best riding of the year on tap the next 6 weeks! We will blow leaves off the course every 7-10 days on various segments the month of September and October than trails close early November for the dirt season.

A much welcomed rain shower early this morning after a dry week. The woods are slowly showing signs of fall. The fall colors should be kicking in to gear the next few weeks and we expect a brilliant fall with the lushness of the woods.

Consistent rainfall this summer keeping the grounds and woods lush and green. A few signs of fall emerging in the forest including a handful of trees starting to change and acorns starting to fall to the ground as well as other seeds. The next few months some of our favorite months outside the winter season.
