Trail Report

Warmer weather slowly moving in after a couple cold days that saw temperatures in the low teens. Cold enough to set ice on the ponds and a few of the smaller lakes. First snow of the year last Saturday with a couple inches accumulating before melting later in the day. Overall conditions are very dry which has made for good conditions for final fall grooming/trail clearing.

Fall color still alive in pockets in the woods along with the grasses and underbrush providing a autumn balance. Tamarack trees at their peak now, noticeable in the ponds and sloughs.

We will continue doing trail work this fall until deer hunting with plans to operate for day skiing on the the ski, snowshoe and fat bike trails. Similar to the COVID season, there will be no services available. Parking in the far lot with portable bathrooms.

Ski trail season passes can be purchased on our website.

Mountain bike trails will be open until November 1st. Click here for trail report.

Mountain Bike Trail Report

Trails are open. The mountain bike trails will be open until November 1st. We have been clearing leaves on the entire mountain bike trail system the past 10 days and conditions are excellent.

Surface conditions are hardpack and dry. A few leaves still to come down and might be some that blow in otherwise great late season riding.

Please park in far parking lot by the recycling containers.

Please note we have taken down course marking and many of the signs. Trail maps online and TrailForks.

Ride at own risk and assume all responsibility.

First Snow October 16th Fire Update

Fall scene after the first snowfall of the years, October 14th, 2022.

As the first accumulating snowfall blanketed Maplelag today, we are reminded of the beautiful change of seasons and how fortunate we are to experience this. Nature has always been a huge inspiration for us as we navigate through decisions in life.

We have had a few days to reflect on the recent events and want to say how grateful we are for the overwhelming outpouring of support, acts of kindness and most importantly, the prayers. We have certainly felt God’s presence. Again, we are grateful no one was hurt. The time with family these past few days has strengthened what truly is most important to us.
