Today was most likely one of the last days of mountain biking on the trails. Light snow falling most of the afternoon accumulating to an inch or two and more snow forecasted on the weekend. Snuck out for one last ride this morning before the snow started falling and greeted with amazing conditions. Sunshine, crips temps and perfect late season surface. Another great mountain bike season in the books. Thanks to everyone who came to enjoy the trails. Have a great winter and check back for updates time to time.
A great weekend of racing over Labor day for the Laddies Loppet. A record number of riders taking on the challenging course. Dry and sunny conditions making for really nice riding and reports from the course were good. Thanks to everyone who came to participate and a huge thanks to the volunteers and staff who helped make it an successful event. Photos and results from Saturday on skinnyski.com and Sunday photos.
The trails are open this Fall to the public for riding until the snow flies. The mountain bike course starts at the beginning of Skaters Waltz ski trail and is marked with red signs and black arrows. The intermediate to advanced loop is 7 miles and takes 40 minutes to 1 hour to complete. The Twin lakes singletrack starts off the main driveway to the west, is 3 miles in length and takes 17 to 25 minutes to compete. Both trails depend on rider ability for amount of time required to complete. There are limited services available in the main lodge and closed when special events are going on. Please purchase a trail pass to support maintenance efforts. The trails are closed to horses and motorized vehicles.
Heading down the driveway to Twin Lakes. Doesn't get any better for Fall riding.
