Ski Trail Report

Trails are open. It has been a great week of skiing and grooming even with the cooler weather. The entire trail system has been groomed 1-4 times this week and skiing is about as good as it gets. Looks to be a bit warmer today with snow chances later, 1-3″ possible. Groomer’s Choices for today include Roy’s Run, Wavy Gravy and Sap Run. Best skating will be on Skaters Waltz.

We have also have a loop on Little Sugarbush Lake “Lumi’s Loop” with a skate lane and track on each side. This is a fun 1.2km loop that makes for a fun ski at sunrise and sunset and under the full moon! Groomed 1/29.

There are no events or races occurring this weekend. Even on days of races or events, skiing on the west or north side of the trail system, you might not run into one person! The next event will be on Tuesday February 3rd.

 Fat Bike Trail Report:

Section 8 Nordic Ski Championships will be held on Tuesday February 3rd on portions of Sap Run, Sukkerbusk, all of JibFly and most of Mother North Star. All other 50km of trail will be open for day skiing. Recommended to use Loon Return to access Sukkerbusk to the western trail and northern trails.

Skating on Skaters Waltz, the extension loops, North Loup, Single Green, Kristin’s Kutoff and Eira Bikwadinaa Hill. All other trails are tracked for classic skiing. (Please no skating on classic trails) Sukkerbusk is a great starter trail for classic which feeds the outer trails and crosses most of the inner trails providing a good “lay of the land”.

39″ of snow so far this season. We have been grooming daily on the entire trail system since mid November, only missing a few days.
