Ski Trail Report

Trails are open. A beautiful Saturday of skiing. Brilliant sunshine in the afternoon made for a really nice day. Thanks everyone that came out! Little bit cooler today but winds will be light and another great day of skiing in place.

A welcomed inch of snow Friday evening that was groomed in on Skaters Waltz, Eira Bikwadinaa hill and a reset of double track on Sap Run and Sukkerbusk. Thank you to everyone that comes to ski and supports the trails with season pass purchases. Day passes can be purchased here

Overall the trails are skiing very nice for early season and we are off to a great start with the base we have. Friday we packed and combed out Bullhead lake trail. The north end is rough and needs more snow but another few days the ice should be good to groom across the lake. Also touched up a few inner trails.

Best track skiing is on Sukkerbusk and Sap Run and best skating on Skaters Waltz. Extension skiing fine as well. North Loup is skiable, watch for rough spots on middle segment to the far north. Tracks also set intermittently on Mother Hen, JibFly and Twin Lakes. We need another 1-3″ to set full depth tracks on more trails otherwise still some very nice early season skiing to be had and no reason not to ski! All the trails are open, use extra caution if venturing on the trails not recommended.  Please do not skate on trails outside Skaters Waltz, the extension loops and North Loup so we can preserve the base for setting classic tracks, hopefully next week!

We have been grooming daily this week, working on all the trails and filling in thin areas. Tuesday we packed out Roy’s Run, Wavy Gravy and Island Lake trails just with the snowmobile. Next snowfall we will comb out and set a track if enough new snow on the above singletrack trails.

We had a great Autumn of Fall grooming clearing leaves and debris off the trails and the new snow is packing in well with the clean deck before the snow.

We cleared over 600 trees since the Solstice 2025 storm. Big thanks to everyone that has helped!

Total snowfall in November at 7″. October precipitation at 2.7″ and around 1″ in September. Total precipitation ytd (rain) at Maplelag is at 25.12″.
