Ski Trail Report

Trails Open
Warming temps with a few flakes of snow swirling around this morning. Skiers out this morning reporting good conditions. After one of the gnarliest days of the season, the weather has settled down. We were grooming around the clock to stay on top of the drifting. Still big drifts on Island and Bullhead trails but plenty of other skiing options on remainder of trail system. Yesterday’s wind brought down a lot of organic forest matter but still some fantastic skiing to be had.

Grooming Report
Roys, Rootin Tootin, Wavy Gravy, Twin Lakes and skate trails groomed this morning. We groomed on about 45km trail Friday from 10am to midnight, staying on top of the drifting. Entire trail system groomed multiple times this week. Snow and drifted areas on Island Lake and Bullhead/Bootleg. We have been grooming daily since December 26th.

Nature Notes: Wildlife has been active the last few weeks. We have been seeing porcupines along the snowshoe trail and Roy’s Run. We have also seen hawks, owls near JibFly and North Star, fox, deer of course, pileated woodpeckers and tons of tracks. Eagle sighted this week near Twin Lakes return at eagle view.
