Ski Trail Report

December starting out nicely with an inch or so of wet snow early morning. We groomed on Skaters Waltz, Sukkerbusk and Suicide Hill into the early morning, rolling and combing the new snow into the existing frozen base. We groomed early this morning instead of waiting in effort to save the snow as much as possible by compressing the snow so it could freeze down better. The new snow freshening up the grounds nicely and should help protect the existing base. Skiing was very good this morning but due to the warm temps today, the trails remained closed. If we survive the warm today and tomorrow, we will put effort into having a 2km loop open for skiing on the weekend.

Fat bike trails remain open provided temps are below freezing. (Click here on trail report).

Lodging for the winter season operations will begin the December 17th weekend. There is no lodging available for winter operations before. Day and season passes can be purchased here.

NO services in the lodge at this time. Park in far parking lot where recycling and porta potties are located.

Ski Trail Report

The trails are closed to skiing.

Trails are covered with a rock solid ice/crust base of 1-3″ from snowfall earlier in November. Out of caution, we have the trails closed due to icy conditions, areas of thin cover and scattered open spots. The trails we groomed the past few weeks have the best coverage and just an inch or so will allow us to open these trails again. This week we are working on Skaters Waltz, patching areas of thin cover.

Long term snow models looking good for snow end of weekend (keep in mind this is a long term model, bit more on the conservative side).

We had great early season run thanks to 6″ of snow the middle of November and was good to see so many people out. We will continue to work on Skaters Waltz and Sukkerbusk, patching thin areas. We are grateful to have the coverage as it won’t take much to open the trails back up!
