Ski Trail Report

Trails Open Very good to excellent late season conditions. Another beautiful sunny start to the day. A breeze from the west with chance of snow this afternoon. Trails are in great shape with tons of snow in the woods still. We had no rain or melting over the weekend. Temps look great this week for continued excellent March skiing. A few crusty spots here and there with the sun having its way on the south facing areas. Even with cooler temps, conditions can change and use a little extra caution skiing the end of season.

We are closed for the season for lodging/ski packages but the trails will remain open for day skiing until a projected date of April 15th, weather and snow conditions permitting.

Grooming Report Touch up grooming planned through the week. North Loup getting worked over today, getting the skate lane back in place for spring skiing. Overall the trails are in great shape.

Nature Notes: Wildlife bit more active with the slow transition to spring. We have been seeing porcupines along the snowshoe trail and Roy’s Run. We have also seen hawks, owls near JibFly and North Star, fox, deer of course, pileated woodpeckers and tons of tracks. Eagle sightings near Twin Lakes return at eagle view.
