Ski Trail Report

Winter returns! A couple inches of dry fluffy snow falling today. With frost starting to come out of the ground resulting in a warmer surface and a little bit of melting from underneath, we were not able to groom during the day. If we pick up a few more inches of snow on Wednesday, as forecasted, we will try and groom out a small loop.

We have been working on the trails in the morning when the ground is frozen, cutting deadfall off the side of the trail and getting blocks to split for firewood for the saunas etc. The frost is still in the ground and will be a month or so until fully dried out. The ice on Little Sugarbush lake is over 12″ with no melting off the edges. We anticipate the ice off mid April.

Bike trails will open when the frost goes out, typically mid to late April.

Welcome back winter! Fresh snow on April 1st, 2025.

Bike Trail Report

Bike trails are closed for the winter season. Once the snow/ice base melts off, frost goes out and trails dry up, we will open again for the dirt season, typically mid to late Apri. Although riding is possible in the mornings when frozen, conditions are too unpredictable to have the trails open safely and prevent damage to the trails.

Ski Trail Report

Beautiful sunny morning with lows in the single digits. Very bright landscape with fresh snow covering. Snow falling early Sunday morning accumulating to a couple inches. We groomed a 4km loop in effort to open this loop for skiing. Although there were some good segments, in particular where there was existing base, overall the conditions aren’t favorable to open for skiing and considering the warm weather forecasted this week, the trails remained closed. It was good to get another grooming session in and check it out and ski. Bike trails will open when the frost goes out, typically mid to late April.
