Late Season Skating

mar18-01 — Late season skating on the lake Saturday morning. Amazingly the surface was good before deteriorating with wind and warmer temps on Sunday.

A strange weekend of weather with summer like conditions. The snow has melted from the trails but the ice on the lake was smooth in spots for some late season skating. Trail report on the trail report page.

Junior Nationals

mar10-11 — Jake racing in the skate relays, final day Jr Nationals.

Jake had a great week racing at the Junior Nationals representing Maplelag and the Midwest JR Olympic National team. Jake’s best race was the 15km skate race with a 22nd place finish. Full coverage over Jr Nationals on skinnyski.com
