Maplelag will be hosting one of the events during the Detroit Lakes Festival of Birds 2016. The program will feature Maplelag’s famous pan fried walleye meal. The evening will conclude with a presentation by Carrol Henderson, one of the leaders in reviving the formerly extirpated population of Trumpeter Swans in Minnesota and relate the challenges and stories that unfolded during the recovery project. The sap and maple syrup season is in full force! We no longer tap trees at Maplelag but still serve pure maple syrup provided by Kroll’s Zuckervald and local producers.
