Trail Report

Beautiful summerlike weather to cap off a wet week. Almost 4″ of rain falling on Monday and Thursday nights. Despite the moisture, the trails dried out for the most part and folks hiking, running and biking on the trails. Folks on the mountain bike course this afternoon riding reported “fun” conditions. A few spots greasy but otherwise good conditions.  The trails are open at no charge for hiking, running and biking and closed to horse and motorzied travel. We are working on the trails, preparing them to be in the best possible condition before the snow flies.

Fall Arriving

sept10-1Looking down the Maplelag driveway towards the switchyard Thurday morning as more trees begin to provide beautiful Fall conditions. Be sure to follow the Maplelag website during the Autumn as we begin to photograph the changes around the Maplelag ground and ski trails.

Trail Report

Big time rain last night as almost 2″ of rain fell hard and fast during the early morning hours. The trails are open this Fall for hiking, biking and walking. They are closed to horses and motorized equipment.  We have taken down the flagging for the bike course but will leave the signs out until the snow flies. We will be working on the ski trails, preparing them for winter and also hope to work on the new singletrack by Twin Lakes.  Thanks to everyone who came and supported the Laddies Loppet mountain bike weekend.
