Trail Report

After 3/4ths of an inch to start the week, it has been a very nice week to be in the woods with few bugs and pleasant conditions. Really some incredible weather this month of September. The leaves really haven’t changed that much the past few week but we are certainly getting closer to the peak. Folks staying at Maplelag this week have been on the trails enjoying the beautiful conditions including a tour of part of the trails and forest management at Maplelag by the Minnesota Forest Resource Council group.

The trails are open at no charge for hiking, running and biking and closed to horse and motorzied travel. We are working on the trails, preparing them to be in the best possible condition before the snow flies.

Trail Report

Has been a very nice week to be in the woods with few bugs and pleasant conditions. The evenings have been gorgeous. The leaves are starting to change a bit more, but after some early color in August, the rain and warmer temps seem to have slowed down the transformation. The trees that did change early haven’t come to full circle, color wise, and have started loosing their leaves. However, the majority of trees are still green and lush and will be interesting, like always, to see how the foliage is this year.

The trails are open at no charge for hiking, running and biking and closed to horse and motorzied travel. We are working on the trails, preparing them to be in the best possible condition before the snow flies.
