Trail Report

Another good ol’ fashion winterlike day! After clear skies to start the day early, clouds moving in with some light snow and breeze from the northwest and then clearing again. Single digits for temps. Fresh grooming this morning on Sap Run, Mother Hen, Sukkerbusk, JibFly and Skaters Waltz. Bit slower skiing today with the new snow but some excellent conditions on the trail. 1-2″ of new snow Wednesday and Thursday morning combined. Trails will be groomed Friday and Saturday morning with most of the entire trail system planned to be groomed. Should be another fantastic weekend of skiing.

Trail Report

Bit of light snow falling this morning. Around an inch of new snow expected. Skiing has been great to start the week. Sunny conditions on Monday and Tuesday and crisp temps. Should warm up a bit the next few days with a bit of light snow. Touch up grooming where needed before the weekend. Compacted base 6-12″ on the trails and snow depth in the woods 14-24″. Skiing rated excellent.

A good ol’ winter day. Light dusting of snow this morning, temp falling to -3 and a breeze from the northwest. Fresh grooming on Wavy Gravy, Sukkerbusk, Sap Run, Mother Hen, Rootin Tootin, JibFly, Skaters Waltz and Skaters extension. Bundle up, click in and enjoy some great skiing in the woods.  A bit of drifting in the open areas but all in all some great skiing. Grooming Saturday morning on Bullhead, Mother North Star and touch up grooming here and there.

Trail Report

Today pretty much a perfect day on the trails. Like I said yesterday, you can’t take anything away from other days this winter when there is great snow on the trails but with upper teens/lower twenties, sunshine, frosted trees and great skiing on the trails, it doesn’t get much better for being in the woods. The streets in town might be getting slushy but the trails at Maplelag are not salted and snow temps in the upper teens keeping the snow white and fresh. Grooming this morning on North Loup (skate and classic) Skaters Waltz and Skaters Waltz extension. Looks like some weather moving in but should be some great skiing for the weekend. Looking at the forecast, grooming most likely on hold until early Saturday morning.

Trail Report

An incredible day on the trails. Absolutely no wind, sunshine and upper teens for temps rising to the lower 20’s and a light coating of frost/fluff on the trails. Can’t imagine how the conditions could be better! Not taking anything away from any other day so far this season because any day with snow on the trails is a great day! Fresh grooming this morning on Bullhead lake trail and bootleg extension, Loon Return, Double Green and Mother Hen. Compacted base 6-10″ on average with some spots over a foot. Snow depth 1-2 feet in the woods.
