The heavy rain stayed south of us yesterday and early morning showers leaving a few tenths of rain in the gauges. Mowing on the ski trails and brushing on on existing mountain bike singletrack the main trail work this week. Deer flies coming out but not bad if you keep moving. The trails are in great shape for this time of year and looking good for the winter.
Fantastic weather to end the month of June as we begin the first day of July. Deep blue skies, gentle breeze from the northwest and temps in the upper 60’s lower 70’s. Has been nice to be in the woods for trail work and biking. We have been mowing on the trails, cutting brush and clearing deadfall from recent winds. Always plenty of work to do to keep the trails in tip top shape and best condition possible for the winter months and non winter activities.
Cool weather with a little drizzle to start the week after a mix of thunderstorms and pleasant weather on the weekend. Mowing on the trails this past week will continue this week. Riding on the bike course has been good. The water tables remain very high with near record precipitation the past year including almost 6″ of rain the past 10 days. Mosquitoes are out but not the deer flies and if you keep moving in the woods, they aren’t too bad. Cool weather this week should slow down the bugs and keep the deer flies away for another week or so.
