Trail Report

Excellent skiing conditions. Compacted base on the trail is 6-10″ and snow depth in the woods is 15-25″. Grooming today on JibFly, Mother Hen, Sap Run, Sukkerbusk, Rootin Tootin and Mother North Star setting new tracks. The woods are still flocked with some of the snow from the storm a few weeks ago. We picked up and inch or two this week of fresh snow and more snow forecasted tonight, tomorrow and over the weekend. Conditions couldn’t be much better and skiing is fantastic. We will be grooming the next two mornings for sure. All the trails are groomed and tracked including Island Lake and the bootleg extension of Bullhead which we clipped and cleared the first part of the week. There are still a few low hanging branches and face slappers here and there but we are trying to clear the trails the best we can. Skaters Waltz and Skaters Extension groomed and open for skating.

Trail Report

Light snow falling the past 24 hours has accumulated to an inch or so. Even saw the sun for a few hours Tuesday morning!! Light winds and mid teens for temps. Beautiful conditions on the trails. Most of the snow from the previous weekend storm is still hanging on to the trees creating a truly winter wonderland feel. Yesterday Island Lake trail was packed, cleared of face slapping brush and groomed with a track set. Mother Hen,  Bullhead and bootleg extension groomed with new tracks and Skaters Waltz combed for grooming today. All the trails are now open and groomed. We continue to clip and clear brush on the trails that was brought down from the heavy snow. The compacted base on trail is 6-10″ and the snow depth in the woods is 15-25″.  Ski conditions are excellent with powder/packed powder surface conditions. We will re-groom the entire trail system before the weekend.  Chance of more snow later in the weekend with more average temperatures.

Finishing up a lap around skaters waltz as the afternoon sun provides a glow through the woods.

Trail Report

Incredible conditions on the trails. Snow from last weekends storm is still hanging nicely on the trees. Sunshine, ten degrees and light winds pretty hard to top the condition on Saturday. Quite a few people also hitting the trails at night enjoying the full moon. All trails open, groomed and tracked except Island Lake trail and bootleg extension because of all the downed branches. Skaters waltz and Skaters extension groomed for skating. North Loup groomed with singletack down the middle. The compacted base on the trail is 6-9″ and the snow depth in the woods is 15-25″.
