Trail Report

Around 4″ of fresh snow during the night and light snow continues to fall. We will be packing this new snow during the day today.  We will continue packing the snow until the storm stops and hopefully set tracks once the weather settles down, most likely on Saturday or Sunday.  The snow looks to have good moisture content and should be a good shot of snow to build up a nice base and greatly improve the conditions.

Trail Report

A beautiful start to the week with sunny skies, light winds and temps in the teens. The trees frosted lightly this morning making for nice conditions outside. Families staying at Maplelag this week enjoying a little skiing on the trails despite the thin snow cover.  Breck Nordic ski team having fun on the lake with ski games and ice skating rink seeing lots of action. We are keeping our eye on a potential Christmas storm!! It won’t take much new snow to resume grooming and greatly improve the ski conditions.

Trail Report

One inch of new snow early this morning. Every little bit helps but need a few more inches to resume grooming. Thin coverage on the trails and we need 3-4″ of good snow to “open” the trails.  The Breck and St Paul Highland Park ski teams are at Maplelag this weekend for a ski camp. Most of the skiing taking place on the lake with a few skiers checking out the trails.  Temps are pleasant and no wind on the lake making for nice skiing on the lake.
