The trails are closed until it snows again. Warm temps during the night and shifty southwest winds has melted the snow on the trails. Blah!! It did crust over early Sunday morning for one more ski on Skaters Waltz and Suicide Hill. Suicide had good coverage…fun while it lasted! Long term forecast looks good for cold and snow after this warm spell and just 3-4″ we will be skiing again. We had a great November of skiing with 15 skiable days, thanks mostly to a Thanksgiving storm that dropped 3-5″. There is a solid 3-7″ of ice on the lake and skating has been nice in front of the lodge.

The Maplelag mug for this year has a different look as we have used a local artist, Mary Laabs of Dunton Locks Pottery (near Detroit Lakes), who has hand crafted each mug, all unique and different! The mugs are available for sale in the gift shop. Because of the labor intensive process, quantities are limited!
