Ski Trail Report

Trails open Fresh snow with 3-4″ accumulation on Wednesday. We groomed all the trails except Roy’s Run and Bullhead. Ski and snow conditions are excellent and reports have been good…Thank you!

Grooming update: Entire trail system being groomed today. We will be grooming daily rest of the week into the weekend.

Trails are open for day use. Day and season passes can be purchased here. Please note due to COVID protocols, there are no lodge services for day use. This includes no ski rental or access to coffee bar. Parking in far lot near blue recycling bins where porta potties are located.Please respect this policy so Maplelag can operate as safe as possible and remain open. There are no dogs or pets allowed.

Classic skiing on Sukkerbusk, Sap Run, Mother Hen, JibFly, Rootin Tootin, Twin Lakes, Mother North Star, Wavy Gravy, Island Lake trail and Roy’s Run. Please no skating on the classic trails. Bullhead/Bootleg has now been tracked on the Bootleg extension and return. Lucky’s Loype is adventure skiing, no grooming on the AMA segments, non AMA segments on tap for grooming next week.

Skaters Waltz, the extension loops, North Loup, Suicide Hill, Single Green and Kristin’s Kutoff designated trails groomed for skating.

All trails are one way except Sukkerbusk and Skaters Waltz. Skiing correct direction, especially in early season, helps us maintain the integrity of the base. Thank you!

Trails open A warmer day but felt a bit cooler in the morning with a spirited east wind. A great morning for the MHD JV/JR high ski meet. Nice job to all the skiers! Overall a very nice day on the trails and reports were good…Thank you! Snow falling in the evening with 3-5″ expected.

Grooming update: Morning grooming: Skate decks on North Loup and Skaters extension. New track set on Rootin Tootin, Roy’s Run, Mother North Star, JibFly, and Twin Lakes. Full day of grooming on tap Wednesday working in the new snow fall.

Trails open A warmer day on tap. Around 35km of grooming this morning, great day of skiing on board. Look for barred owl near Sukkerbusk to the west and eagle at start of Island Lake trail. Tuesday we will be hosting a small JV/JR High race from 10-12. Details here. Lodge closed to racers.

Grooming update: All western trails, Sukkerbusk and JibFly groomed this morning with new tracks set. Skaters Waltz combed. The entire groomed trail system has now been groomed. Touch up on select trails occurs as needed.

Trails open After another cold morning, temp warming up to above 0 in the afternoon along with abundant sunshine making for a beautiful day on the trails. The tracks are providing good glide action now that they have set up, transformed and have been “skied in”. Humidity very low which, along with no wind to speak of, sunshine and faster tracks made for nice skiing.
