Ski Trail Report

Trails Open 1-2″ dusting of fluff snow overnight, cooler temps and sunshine should make for excellent skiing today. Most resetting of tracks will be later today and tomorrow but the current forms are well defined and skiing nice. Overall the the trails are in great shape with tons of snow in the woods. No rain, ice or melting. Temps look great this week into the weekend for continued fantastic March skiing. Even with cooler temps, conditions can change and use a little extra caution skiing the end of season or “spring skiing”.

We are closed for the season for lodging/ski packages but the trails will remain open for day skiing until a projected date of April 15th, weather and snow conditions permitting.

Grooming Report Touch up grooming planned through the week. North Loup will have skate lane again and track will also be set through the weekend than skate only deck after the weekend for anticipated spring skiing. Overall the trails are in great shape.

Nature Notes: Wildlife bit more active with the slow transition to spring. We have been seeing porcupines along the snowshoe trail and Roy’s Run. We have also seen hawks, owls near JibFly and North Star, fox, deer of course, pileated woodpeckers and tons of tracks. Eagle sightings near Twin Lakes return at eagle view.
