Trail Report

After a dusting of snow kicking off the start of the week, warm and more seasonable weather in place. The warm temps has all but melted the snow from the trails and frost is slowly coming out. Around 1.25″ of rain over the weekend. Just a few signs of spring on the forest floor but the woods alive with the sounds. Many waterfowl species enjoying open water everywhere and sounds of the first loons heard as they wait for the ice to go off the lakes.

We have been clearing deadfall off the trails when the ground has been frozen but waiting for trails to dry up to resume. We also will be planting trees in the next week or so.

Mountain bike trails will open as soon as the frost is out and dry up completely. There are a few segments that are rideable but ski trails need time to dry out and set up. Click on the mountain bike report for latest conditions.
