Trail Report

Light dusting of snow overnight. Total snowfall the past 36 hours just over an inch. The new snow groomed in nicely on the trails we set track yesterday. Today we will be working on the course for the DL Invite Nordic ski race tomorrow. The light dustings of snow have refreshed the trails nicely and skiing is good to excellent.

Skaters Waltz, the extension and North Loup open and groomed for skating. Please no skating on trails other than Skaters Waltz, the extension of Skaters and North Loup. Trails are open with skier made track include Roy’s Run, Lucky’s Loype and Bullhead. Please note portions of certain trails will not be groomed this year due to change in the lease on AMA property.

Total snowfall since December 15th=13″, compacted base on trail 3-5″. Overall the trails have very good coverage, a few rough spots on the marsh/lake crossings to use caution, especially on Bullhead trail. Ski with caution and enjoy! Total snowfall since December 1st, 19″. Total snowfall since November 20th= 21″. We had a warm spell that melted most of the snow from November 20th and December 1st other than the north facing areas. First grooming of the season on November 20th after 2″ of snowfall.

Trail Report

An inch or so of new snow the past 24 hours. The new snow a nice refresh. Cold weather in place as we dropped down to -17.5 early this morning. No wind and sunshine taking off the edge. Grooming on select classic trails this morning. Very good to excellent ski conditions. Classic skiing has been nice with the colder temps and firm and solid tracks and skating surprisingly fast thanks to a solid firm base. Bit slower today with the fresh snow. A few scattered rough and thin spots but overall the skiing is great!
