Ski Trail Report

Winter returns! Around 8” of new snow as of 8am with a couple more inches forecasted this morning. We will be packing on 9km of trail today focusing on 4km of Skaters Waltz and the 5km loop of North Loup. With warmer weather in the forecast we will not be setting tracks and grooming freestyle only. With new snow this time of year timing is critical to get the most out of the snow. Skiing earlier will be best. Latter will be slow and soft and make ruts for the next morning. We look to freeze down the next few mornings and should have a few good mornings to ski

Trails will remain open. There is no trail fee remainder of season. Please park in parking lot near lodge.

With this snowfall we have surpassed 100” of snowfall on the season bringing total to 104”.

Ski Trail Report

Trails Open
Great seeing folks out this weekend to enjoy the end of season conditions. Trails remain open for those looking for one last ski. No grooming planned unless new snow. Variable conditions with unmarked obstacles. Use caution and assume all risk and responsibility

Best skiing has been trails we recently groomed, the east side of Sukkerbusk (classic), a shortened loop of Skaters Waltz (bypassing Kamikaze segment) and North Loup. North Loup has been groomed for both skate and classic. Few thin areas and one short bare section on North Loup otherwise fully covered. Snow is dirty but skiable. Most recent grooming on Friday and Saturday morning.

No trail fee the remainder of the season. Park in far parking lot near porta potties/redycyling bins or along driveway where drier.

Closed for the season for lodging.

Ski Trail Report

Trails Open A beautiful day on tap, albeit a bit chilly for late March. Inch of snow Friday morning providing a nice little refresh on the trails we are grooming. This morning we groomed out the skate lanes on North Loup and Skaters Waltz (minus the Kamikaze segment). Yesterday we reset the tracks on east side of Sukkerbusk and all of North Loup. A few thin areas and a couple bare spots on North Loup otherwise very skiable and good late season conditions considering the date. Little bit of windblown snow in tracks after grooming might make the classic skiing a bit slower when the sun hits the tracks.

Best skiing has been trails we continue to groom. We have been grooming on the east side of Sukkerbusk (classic), a shortened loop of Skaters Waltz (skating)(bypassing Kamikaze segment) and North Loup. North Loup has been groomed for both skate and classic. Few thin areas and one short bare section on North Loup otherwise fully covered. Snow is dirty but skiable.

We are planning to be open through the weekend for those skiers that reached out about skiing this weekend. Temps looks to be cool and keep the current base in place. End of season conditions. Use extreme caution and assume all risks. With that said, there is some skiing to be had for those looking to get one last ski in.

No trail fee the remainder of the season. Park in far parking lot near porta potties/redycyling bins or along driveway where drier.

Closed for the season for lodging.

Fat Bike Trail Report

Fat Bike Trails closed until further notice. There is still good snow coverage on the trails but lack of hard freezing nights and warm day time temps preventing riding at this time. We look to be colder on the weekend and trails will freeze down but we haven’t been able to groom the track to improve riding conditions.

Ski Trail Report

Trails Open A return to wintry weather with temps in the 20’s this morning and light snow falling. Around an inch of snow this morning. The colder temps setting up the existing base hard. New snow taking off the hardness and providing a improvement in the skiing this morning. Late morning we groomed, setting a new track on the east side of Sukkerbusk and all of North Loup on the side and combing the skate lane on east side of Skaters Waltz. Wind blowing snow into the tracks in a few spots. Saturday morning we will groom the skate lane on North Loup and the remainder of Skaters Waltz, minus the Kamikaze segment.
