Fat Bike Trail Report

Trails open. Very good to excellent riding conditions on the most recent groomed loop (inner loop segments and Twin Lakes loop) Base is firm with a thin dusting of snow on top, now rider packed, and rolling the best of the season. We have been able to run a little bit more tire pressure which makes for a little faster riding. If you are sinking in or having trouble riding hills, try letting a bit air out.

Grooming update: Most recent grooming Tuesday the 18th. The inner loop, SukkerWest and Twin Lakes loop most recently groomed for around 18km of riding options. Fat Bike trails have been groomed 7-9 times this season. We hope to groom Bootleg loop soon!

Signs marking the route for the inner loops are in place and ultimately direct the course for the “FatLagChilada”. Twin lakes and SukkerWest singletrack can be accessed from the driveway. To access the start to access Bootleg, head to the start of Skaters Waltz to the right. We have groomed on the far right side of Suicide Hill for uphill travel. Access to Bootleg has been groomed on the lake. Use trails at own risk and assume all responsibility. Skaters Waltz is open for fat biking when conditions are firm. SukkerWest is recommended trail for beginner riders. Trail difficulty on outer loops is intermediate to advanced.

Trail passes help offset grooming and maintenance costs. Trails have already been groomed multiple times this year. Thank you.

Ski Trail Report

Trails open Spectacular day on tap. Cold start to the day but calm conditions with brilliant sunshine and warming up fast making for a great day on the trails. These are days we live for!! Personally we feel these days are warmer and better skiing than the “warmer” days with a southeast damp wind and cloudy conditions. Good job everyone getting out yesterday. Invigorating day with beautiful winter scenes.

Grooming update: We groomed most of the trail system yesterday and will complete the remainder of the system (Island/Wavy/and Bullhead) today.
