Entire 25 mountain bike course is open and has been cleared and blown out. Very good to excellent early season conditions. Track will be a bit damp this morning after another rain shower last night but should be good riding again by afternoon.
Nice seeing folks out enjoying the early season conditions so far this year.
We have taped all the key intersections and signs are out at most singletrack segments. Any singletrack that is not marked where it crosses ski trail, continue straight on the singletrack. Reference our map or TrailForks or Strava for guidance.

A relatively wet weekend with 1.5″ of precipitation falling Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The rain was welcomed as it got very dry after the snow melted off. Wind, very low humidity facilitating the drying process. The woods are starting to come to life more and more each day with wildflowers and buds on the trees and saplings.
The snow has all melted and ice is off Little Sugarbush lake next to Maplelag. The water tables have been restored thanks to the snowfall this season just under 100″. Waterfowl active as ever including loons that are happy to have a ice free lake.
The mountain bike trails are open for riding. Click here for latest update. Maplelag trails are closed to all motorized use and horses. We continue with trail tuning as we constantly work on the trails for the next ski season and maintain 25 miles of mountain bike trail.
We had a great run of skiing in April, officially skiing on April 23rd capping off a fantastic ski season of 153 skiable days starting the third week of November. Was great seeing so many people out enjoying the special late season conditions. Thanks to everyone who supported us this season and the trails. The fire on October 10th was a devastating event for us and the long ski season helped keep us active, restore and gain clarity as we recover from the tragedy last fall.
Total snowfall this season at 96″ which ranks in top 5 of total snowfall in one season at Maplelag.

Entire 25 mountain bike course is open and has been cleared and blown out this past week. Damp and wet conditions this morning after nearly 1.5″ of rain the past 24 hours. Riding will be a bit greasy today with high humidity, matching dew points and chance of drizzle most of day.
Good seeing folks out this week enjoying the early season conditions and having wheels on the track which helps ride in the lines and buffs the deck. A welcomed light rain shower late morning helping settle the dust and tack up the track. The trails remain open and should set up for a great day of riding Sunday.
The trails have dried out very fast thanks to wind, very low humidity and no new precipitation. The surface is still a bit soft in a few spots but overall very good early season conditions. One thing different this year is we didn’t have as deep as frost so there was less heaving after the snow melted and trails like Twin Lakes are better riding earlier in the season as a result. As always, be prepared for any new deadfall or forest matter. There is a lot of trail and
