A mixed bag of precipitation continues this morning as the massive Christmas storm slowly begins to exit. After nearly 2″ of rain, a very thin period of snow last night that scantily has covered the trails. The current El NinÒ this season has not been kind for snow lovers and going down as one of the strongest on record based on some accounts. Click here for an article. Forecast does not look the best moving forward but things can change quick and we are ready for more white to fall from the sky! The trails are open for hiking/walking etc.for guests staying a the resort.

The lake is now ok for skating on the east side near Maplelag. Guests have been skating today.

Trails are closed today with rain and warmer temps in place. We had a good day of riding yesterday on a snow/crust layer. Looks to cool down again tonight and riding should be possible in morning tomorrow.

Once again we will plan to groom around 25km of trail for fat biking this coming winter season. The main loops groomed are Bullhead Bootleg and Twin Lakes singletrack with inner segments to connect to make a “FatLagChilada”.

Ski Trail Report

After waking up to a nice coating of white yesterday, rain powering through today as a massive system works the central part of United States from the gulf all the way into northern Canada. Just enough of a crust layer and snow yesterday morning to provide a Christmas Day ski. The snow we had has now melted out and the trails are wet. Looks to cool down this evening and slowly freeze down again. Trails will be open for hiking etc. once things set up again.

Ski Trail Report

Merry Christmas!! Waking up to a thin coating of white after a dusting of snow overnight. We did get rain yesterday with almost an inch falling. Chance of more snow later today with freezing rain possible as well. Hoping it is all snow!!!

Good to see a few folks out skiing on the snow farm loop week. The loop is now closed with warmer weather moving in.

We hosted our first ski camps this past week and teams made the most of the conditions by utilizing the trails with orienteering, scavenger hunts and plenty of running and hiking.

Bike trails  are now open for fat biking/winter riding, weather permitting. Riding allowed on the Twin Lakes and Bullhead Bootleg loops. The inner trails are closed until the base is set up for skiing.  Please note the signage and tap for the “dirt” season is removed but the main singletrack sections are signed.

Season passes can be purchased on the products page.
