Summer like weather back in place after a cooler start to the week. Many trees have hit their peak of Fall color this week and beautiful autumn scenes in place. Incredible Northern Lights on Monday evening we were fortunate to catch over Island lake on the Maplelag property. Big time wind last Saturday bringing down a few dead trees and lots of branches and twigs we have been clearing on the trails, mostly the bike course for now. Dry conditions prevail with no significant moisture the past 5 weeks.
Total rainfall in September at .44″. August rainfall at 3.2″. Rainfall the month of July at 5.71″. Total rainfall in June at 7.56″. It was also a very wet month of May with right around 8″ of rain. Since January 1st, we have received almost 28″ of rain.

We have started clearing on the course with Bullhead Bootleg, Moorhead and a few other short segments cleared on Monday and Tuesday.We will continue through the week with plans to clear the entire 25 mile LagChilada course by the end of the week.
We will continue clearing select segments of trail throughout the fall until dirt season ends on November 3rd at sunset.

Feeling more like Fall the past few days with morning lows in the 30’s and slight touch of frost. Big time wind on Saturday bringing down a few dead trees and lots of branches and twigs Dry conditions prevail with no significant moisture the past 5 weeks.
Beautiful Fall scenes emerging more and more each day as summer like temps continue with dry conditions. Most recent rain on Monday September 23rd with just under .10″ of rain. The dry conditions have been good for working on the trails. We are beginning our first big push of ski trail work as we constantly prepare for the winter months. The fall color has been 7-9 days behind compared to other years.

Sunday Funday!! Feels like Fall this morning with temps in the 40’s and a slowly diminishing wind. Wind gusts up to 44mph last night possibly bringing down branches and deadfall, use a little extra caution otherwise great Fall riding conditions with dry surface. We cleared most of the 25 mile LagChilada course this past week, finishing up Twin Lakes and ski trails again Friday.
