A cool and fresh start to the week. End of July and forecast has windchill factor!! Definitely has felt like September a lot of the days the past few weeks which gets us excited for Fall and Winter!! The trails are in excellent shape and set up nicely for the winter. Frequent moisture keeping the woods green and lush. The trails are open for running, hiking and biking. They are closed to horses and motorized use.
Mother North Star ski trail mowed nicely, Tuesday July 14th.
Members of a recent Back Porch Quilters quilting retreat hard at work.
Quilting has grown in popularity in rececnt years and Maplelag is now hosting a third retreat during the year. If you would like more information on how to be part of this, please contact us.
The heavy rain stayed south of us yesterday and early morning showers leaving a few tenths of rain in the gauges. Mowing on the ski trails and brushing on on existing mountain bike singletrack the main trail work this week. Deer flies coming out but not bad if you keep moving. The trails are in great shape for this time of year and looking good for the winter.
