Trail Report
Relatively dry and warm weather continues through November. Quite a change from October which saw much colder weather and three separate snow events!! With the wet October, “cat” work on the trails was on hold but “nice” weather as of late allowed some touch up work to be performed this week. No major trail work, just touch up on some corners mainly to make it easier for grooming in the winter. Overall the trails are looking great. We have been cutting brush, blowing leaves and putting up trail signs to have the trails in the best possible condition before the snow flies for real. We are also working on a new trail map, set to be ready before the heart of the winter season. Looks like colder weather with chance for snow on the weekend.

Trail Report
After a relatively warm week with a few rainy days, a nice hard freeze on Sunday after early morning lows in the 20’s. Gorgeous conditions on the trails to end the week. Ideally the ground, sloughs, ponds and lakes will freeze before the snow flies for real. Looking at the week ahead, slightly above temps with dry conditions looks to be on tap. Alaska is experiencing quite cold weather right now (temps in the -30 to -50 range) which is often times a good indication of when cold weather might move south once the jet stream is positioned to allow cold air to move south from Canada etc (10-12 days type of thing). The trails are in great shape with maintenance to continue right up until the snow flies. We are hoping to sneak in a little cat work this week before cold and snowy temps move in for good.
