Ski Trail Report

Trails open Beautiful day on the trails. Morning low checked in at -25 but the air was dry, sun was shining and there was no wind making windchill irrelevant. Trails were busy all day with skiers and we were grooming all day again, even with the coldest temps of the season in the morning.

Grooming update: The trails are starting to take shape after full days of grooming the 2 feet of snow the past week. We packed on the northern trails today and will have Roy’s Run tracked on Thursday and North Loup combed out for skate. All western trails tracked today and all inner trails reset as well. We will reset tracks again on most of the trail system tomorrow.

Trails are open for day use. Day and season passes can be purchased here. Please note due to COVID protocols, there are no lodge services for day use. This includes no ski rental or access to coffee bar. Parking in far lot near blue recycling bins.

Classic skiing on Sukkerbusk, Sap Run, Mother Hen, JibFly, Rootin Tootin, Twin Lakes, Mother North Star, Wavy Gravy, Island Lake trail and Roy’s Run. Please no skating on the classic trails. Crossing between Twin Lakes is still a bit rough but much improved with the latest snowfall. Bullhead/Bootleg has now been tracked on the Bootleg extension and return. Lucky’s Loype is adventure skiing, no grooming on the AMA segments.

Skaters Waltz, the extension loops, North Loup, Suicide Hill, Single Green and Kristin’s Kutoff designated trails for skating.

All trails are one way except Sukkerbusk and Skaters Waltz. Skiing correct direction, especially in early season, helps us maintain the integrity of the base. Thank you!

Trails are open for day skiing for non lodging guests. Lodge is closed to day use.
