Trails open with early season conditions. A beautiful dense snow Sunday evening measuring around 2″. Off and on flurries continue today with intermittent sunshine as the cold front pushes through.
We were grooming on the early season loop last night and were back out today packing, rolling, combing and leveling. Trails groomed today include Sap Run, Mother Hen, Loon Return, JibFly, Mother North Star, Rootin Tootin, Sukkerbusk, Skaters Waltz and the extension north, North Loup and Twin Lakes.
Rough/thin/bare spots. Freestyle surface. (No tracks set.) Recommended to ski on the early season loop that consists of east sides of Sukkerbusk and Skaters Waltz using Sap Run and Rootin Tootin trails as connectors to make a 4km loop. Sukkerbusk is also good with just a few rough spots. The other trails groomed today were mainly to establish a base, not so much to ski on.
There are a lot of rough and thin spots but with caution, some diehard early season skiing to be had. Use extreme caution. Not recommended for beginner or first time skiers.
Part of the bike trails are open for riding. Bike Trail Report.
Season passes can be purchased here.
