Trail Report

Around 4″ of snow the past 24 hours with flurries falling Monday afternoon. We have been grooming steady, working in the new snow with all trails getting packed today (except Roy’s Run) The race course for tomorrow (see info below) has been groomed multiple times with final grooming to occur late Monday afternoon or early evening.  The snow  has nice moisture content and is making for very nice conditions with the existing base we had. There are still a few rough spots and areas of thin cover,  in particular the marsh areas, but overall the new snow has greatly improved the ski conditions and with pleasant temps, the skiing is pretty much awesome.

We will hosting a high school race on Tuesday on Skaters Waltz, Suicide hill, Sap Run and Mother North Star. The classic race will start out on Sap Run, take a right on Mother North Star, than take right on Sap Run near the end of the loop to finish back through the stadium area. The JV skate race will be on Skaters Waltz (minus the kamikaze hill section), double green to Suicide hill than back on Skaters to finish to the stadium. The Varsity pursuit will be skaters waltz with kamikaze hill section, right on double green to Suicide hill than back on Skaters Waltz to complete the loop to stadium. The Jr High race will be a 3km skate race. The classic course is in good shape and final tracks set at transition of weather. There are a few thin spots no track will be set. The start of all classic races will not have tracks and will double pole until the tracks begin on Sap Run.
