Trail Report

Sunshine and dry weather in place this week after daily rain Thursday-Sunday last week. After a extended dry period in July, the rain has been welcomed. We have received almost 4″ of rain over a two week period. The ponds, sloughs and lakes are still low but the recent rain has definitely helped and the forest floor and woods is healthy and green.

A few signs of early fall with leaves changing in a few spots and falling to the forest floor. We continue to work on the trails clearing deadfall and mowing in the lower areas that still have grass growing good. We are also working on the mountain bike trails almost daily as we prepare for the Laddies Loppet mountain bike race on Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

The mountain bike trails are open for ridingClick here for latest update. Maplelag trails are closed to all motorized use and horses. We continue with trail tuning as we constantly work on the 64km of ski trails for upcoming ski season and maintain 25 miles of mountain bike trail.
