Trail Report

The entire trail system groomed the past 24 hours, grooming in the 3-4″ of fresh fluffy snow that fell Monday morning. Wednesday a snow band set up over Maplelag and a solid 3″ fell during the day. The trails are in excellent condition. Still evidence of the crustiness underneath but all in all the trails are in great shape and skiing very nice. We will be grooming the skate trails Wednesday evening and setting new tracks on select classic trails.

Compacted base 8-10″. Snow depth in woods 1-2 feet. 100% open on 64km. 57 km tracked for classic, 13km groomed for skating.   Skaters Waltz/ extension, Suicide Hill and North Loup groomed for skating.  There is also a track set on North Loup for classic.

Total snowfall  this season has been 75″.  The trails are open for day skiing and the current fee is $15 to use the trails for the day.

Trail Report

Light drizzle  than falling temps made for fast conditions on the trails this morning. Around noon, snow starting falling and around 6″ has fallen so far as of 9pm. Chance of significant accumulations!!

We groomed all afternoon and in to the evening and will resume grooming in the early morning. The wind is pushing the snow around pretty good so we will most likely be packing the snow, setting tracks along the way with soft conditions expected until grooming can firm things up. Compacted base 6-9″. 57 km tracked for classic only, 15km groomed for skating.  The north end of Bullhead is a bit rough but skiable throughout or take skis off and walk.  All trails are groomed for classic.  Skaters Waltz/ extension Single and Double green, Suicide Hill and North Loup groomed for skating.  There is also a track set on North Loup for classic.
Total snowfall  this season has been 41″.  The trails are open for day skiing and the current fee is $15 to use the trails for the day.  (Maplelag ski reports on skinnyski and link to share ski experience!)
