Although the maple tree next to the cabooses is showing a touch of early Fall color, the recent rain the past week or so has “livened” up the trees and don’t look as “faded” as last week.

A handful of trees have provided early Fall color around Maplelag. Most of the trees changing color have been subject to stress etc. Although we have been experiencing warmer weather this week, the summer has been cooler contributing to a different growth cycle for the leaves this year.

During the summer months, Maplelag is used for the Concordia Language Villages and we host the Spanish Camp and also the Portuguese camp at the end of the summer. We are not open for other business until Labor day weekend.
