Ski Trail Report

Trails are now closed. A great early season run and good to see so many people out. A warm day on Tuesday opened up a few exposed areas. A hard freeze again overnight has the trails icy and hardpack. The loops we had been grooming are still fully covered and skiable but we are erring on the side of caution and keeping the trails closed until more snow. We will continue to work on Skaters Waltz and Sukkerbusk, patching thin areas. We are grateful to have the coverage we do as it won’t take much to open the trails back up!

Fat bike trails remain open (Click here on trail report). Lodging for the winter season operations will begin the December 17th weekend. There is no lodging available for winter operations before. Day and season passes can be purchased here.

NO services in the lodge at this time. Park in far parking lot where recycling and porta potties are located.

Ski Trail Report

Another cold night with solid freezing temps. Trails are open today but we ask folks to be off around noon today with warmer temps possible so we can preserve the base. Busy day on the trails Monday and nice to see everyone out. We will be working on the Kamikaze hill segment again this morning transporting snow.

Trails open on early season conditions. We have around 10km of trail roll packed and combed for early season skiing. No tracks set, freestyle skiing. Watch for thin areas, rough spots, bumpiness organic forest matter, etc. With that said, there is some ok skiing to be had with caution and early season conditions can be helpful in building skill sets such as balance!

Trails groomed include Sukkerbusk, Skaters Waltz, the “easy” loop on JibFly and Suicide Hill. The best segments are closer to the lodge. Sap Run also groomed but strictly for the last segment to be used to connect Skaters Waltz and bypass the Kamkaze hill segment. The kamikaze hill segment has some rough spots and recommended to avoid for beginner skiers. Skating on Skaters Waltz and no track classic skiing on Sukkerbusk and easy loop JibFly.

Fat Bike Trail Report

Designated fat bike trails are open for fat biking. Dusting of snow on top of frozen crust base, rider packed. Open trails include Twin lakes, Bootleg, North Loup Gnar and SukkerWest singletrack segments. Access Bootleg from using the Goat Ranch road as we do in the summer. Please no riding on the inner trails as we prepare the ski trails for skiing.

With warmer temps possible this afternoon, please ride before noon or after sunset if light riding.

Once we receive enough snow to groom, we will begin grooming on the above trails including connector segments to complete the two loops for one full loop.
