Trails open. Best riding on the InnerWest loop. Firm deck, thin coating of fluff snow. We are working on the Bullhead Bootleg loop this week and will continue today. The entire “FatLagchilada” course will be groomed Thursday and Friday for weekend riding.
Grooming update: The “InnerWest” loop, (all inner segments, SukkerWest and Twin Lakes loop) groomed for around 18km of riding options. Fat Bike trails have been groomed 9-11 times this season.
Signs marking the route for the inner loops are in place and ultimately direct the course for the “FatLagChilada”. Twin lakes and SukkerWest singletrack can be accessed from the driveway. To access the start to access Bootleg, head to the start of Skaters Waltz to the right. We have groomed on the far right side of Suicide Hill for uphill travel. Access to Bootleg has been groomed on the lake. Use trails at own risk and assume all responsibility. Skaters Waltz is open for fat biking when conditions are firm. SukkerWest is recommended trail for beginner riders. Trail difficulty on outer loops is intermediate to advanced.
Trail passes help offset grooming and maintenance costs. Trails have already been groomed multiple times this year. Thank you.

Trails open Beautiful day with sunshine, light wind and crisp temps. Weather has settled down after blizzard like conditions yesterday that saw around 2″ of new snow throughout the day.
Grooming update: Today we ran the Pisten Bully with the front end renovator on all the double track trails and set new track after a few passes of widening and leveling, breaking down the drifts from yesterday. The renovator is also a great tool to bring up old snow in the base. We also packed out more singletrack and will set track tomorrow on those trails. We packed around 40km of trail yesterday.
Nature Notes: Wildlife has been active the last few weeks. We have been seeing porcupines along the snowshoe trail and Roy’s Run. We have also seen hawks, owls near JibFly and North Star, fox, deer of course, pileated woodpeckers and tons of tracks.
