Great day on tap for the last day of February! Snow and trails are holding out great. We have transitioned to spring-like conditions. Usually faster in the morning than slowing down in the afternoon when it warms up. Watch for glazing earlier in the day than softening on the southern exposed areas in afternoon…. otherwise some fantastic skiing to be had! Deep base of snow to work with on the daily grooming. New track set on JibFly, North Loup and Sukkerbusk this morning, Tuesday evening grooming on Sap Run, Poki Loki, Sukkebusk and skate lanes on Skaters Waltz and North Loup. Suicide Hill and Single Green also groomed Tuesday evening.
Tuesday morning grooming on Sap Run, Sukkerbusk, Twin Lakes, Wavy Gravy, Loon Return and Rootin Tootin.
Top choices to ski the next few days include North Loup, Sukkerbusk, Skaters Waltz and whatever was groomed additional in the morning. Check board in entry for latest updates.
18″ of new snow from three storms last week. We have been grooming daily on the trails, focusing on 58km of trail currently. The remaining trails, Roy’s Run, Island Lake, Lucky’s Loype and Bullhead recently groomed but fresh snow on top from Saturday night and skied in on these trails. Expect softer conditions compared to skiing the last two weeks. Overall beautiful skiing! We are saving the snow on Island, and Roy’s this week to be groomed in fresh on Friday. These trails are still open and nice skiing nonetheless.
