Cutting fresh track on Sap Run, December 3rd, 2025. Currently we have a thin/shallow track set on around 7km of trail on 50km of trail open.
The ski trails are open and passes can be purchased here. We have been grooming daily working on all the trails and shoveling and farming snow to the thin areas.
Northern Lights over the Red Caboose and Candy Store, November 12th, 2025. Has been a awesome week for Aurora Borealis!!Autumn scene around the new MapleHus home, September 24th, 2025.
We recently added another wood fired sauna to Maplelag. A simplistic but modern design, the sauna features a wood fired stove to heat the main room and lighting/ventilation generated by solar.
Every day is a great day to sauna and combined with a dip in the nearby Little Sugarbush lake, a rejuvenating and relaxing experiencing any time of the day and year!
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Jim Richards, whom was a co-founder of Maplelag. Jim was surrounded by family and friends as he took his last breath on earth, after suffering a stroke four weeks ago.
Jim had exceptional vision to create a magical place in the forest, along the shores of Little Sugarbush, a retreat that has been enjoyed by 100’s of thousands of people from skiing, biking, weddings, retreats and language learning. His work ethic and adventurous spirit will continue to be present as Maplelag moves forward in this next chapter. A special tree grove memorial will be constructed this fall. There was a private celebration of life at Maplelag in August. Obituary posted here.
