Please note: The inner trails will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for Sections. For recreational and day skiing, the western and northern trails will be open

It is inspiring to see our youth competing in such a great sport being active and the races are always exciting!

Lunch available for sale.  All profits donated back to support high school Nordic skiing.  Lunch donated by Maplelag for coaches, bus drivers and race officials.

Winter Trails Day- NCTA

The Laurentian Lakes Chapter of the North Country Trail sponsors Winter Trails Day on Jan. 9 at Maplelag Resort. Activities include a group ski/snowshoe event at 1 (meet at the lodge), a presentation on “White Tail Deer Throughout the Year” by Dave Rave, DNR area wildlife manager, at 4:30 and a silent auction featuring local hand-crafted items throughout the afternoon. Guests are invited to an annual meeting and Chapter update following the presentation. Costs: dinner, $18; dinner and ski pass, $23; snowshoe pass, $3. Reservations can be made prior to Jan. 1 at [email protected] or by calling Karen at 218-841-2857.

Detroit Lakes Invitational Nordic Ski Meet

The DL Invite will be a continuous pursuit, starting with classic style and a quick change to skate at the halfway point of the race.
**The skiers may have assistance in the change over process.
**If skiers use the same set of skis for both the classic and skate race, the skier must step completely out of the ski binding in the ski transition area before they will be allowed to continue the next leg of the race.

Each leg of the race will be roughly 5 km in length.

***Varsity skiers will ski the pursuit format
***Jr. Varsity and Jr High skiers will ski only a 5 km Classic race.

Lunch available for sale for spectators. All proceeds donated to the Detroit Lakes Nordic Ski team for equipment and waxing supplies.
