Trails are open. Temps staying below freezing all day today keeping the snow and base intact with little to no melting. Grooming planned this evening on Sukkerbusk and Sap Run with new tracks to be set and skate loop to be groomed. Other classic trails groomed, Twin Lakes, JibFly and Mother North Star skiing good for late season conditions. Trails will be open Friday, best to get out early before warming up and getting soft and slushy. At this point we will most likely close the trails Friday afternoon.
Freezing down overnight which allowed grooming on select trails this morning. Track renovated and reset on Sukkerbusk, Sap Run, easy loop of JibFly and the connector to the Twin Lakes trail. Other trail groomed this week, Mother North Star has well set track with snow from yesterday that had a gentle transformation with a sprinkling of new snow on top. As always, use a little extra caution for variable spring conditions. Tracks will be a bit fast this morning, should slowly soften by noon. If cloudy all day, could be bit crustier with temps only forecasted to the mid 30’s.
Around an inch or so of wet new snow on Wednesday. No rain at Maplelag.
The 3km loop groomed for skating starting out of the soccer field and using much of Skaters Waltz and can be skied either direction. No tracks set on this loop but open for no track classic skiing.
Great seeing everyone out to enjoy the special bonus late season skiing in April! Looks like should be cool enough today and freezing again overnight the trails will be open Friday morning before closing around noon.
72″ of snow this season from November 15th-April 4th. We began grooming on November 17th and groomed daily on the entire trail system, only missing a few days on the last grooming March 19th.

Snowfall YTD at 72″ April snowfall 13″. March snowfall 7″. Total snowfall in February at 11″. January at 15″. December: 17″. Snowfall in November: 7″. October precipitation (rain) at 2.7″ and around 1″ in September. Total precipitation ytd (rain) at Maplelag is at 25.12″.
